Malaysia Launched New Cars

Now we're back to the inspiration of protons up this morning at the Proton Center of Excellence and are willing to share with you what we have digested (data, not the food). Here goes ... ..

At first glance, there is almost no difference between the zero and save single proton Inspire Lancer front design, a V-shaped rather than trapezoidal Mitsubishi trademark "Jet Fighter" grille. Besides the obvious fact that change is necessary to differentiate the cars, Proton had the intention to move away from the Lancer "too aggressive" look, according to engineers.

At the rear, is 2.0 1.8 for P and E mark the variants, the latter available in both manual and CVT. As mentioned in our preview unit, P stands for Premium Executive and E represents new Proton's naming scheme, where P is the highest specification. There is a chrome strip on the bottom edge of the boot, as the Lancer EX. Bumper proton is unique because it has a black painted style "diffuser" design, in comparison with the single element in the Lancer. Reflectors sit in the black area.

Like the Lancer EX, inspiration has 16-inch wheels with 205/60 rubber. With protons, we obtain contact CC5 only Continental tires Comfort compounds that were developed specifically for the car. The rim design looks much better without the black mask tape in pre-production cars. Suspension tuning also differs from the Lancer, as detailed in two rounds of testing we did preview. Inside, the differences are minimal. The design of the three-spoke steering has a badge of protons, of course, and the instruments are the same. However, just realized that the "left of the speedometer, tachometer right" design of the Lancer has been invested for inspiration, which has its rev meters on the left side. The multi-information display is the Lancer sedan orange, not the full color version of the Lancer Sportback. The cutting of timber in the P breathe in specifications are dark brown (Lancer EX is gray wood), while the 1.8 E gets a silver matte finish that is pleasing to the touch. Everything else is identical to those eyes, including the degree of plastic.

The 1.8-liter 4B10 is in the two variants Executive offers 140 hp at 6,000 rpm and 177 Nm at 4,250 rpm, while the block 4B11 2.0 liter 150 hp bonus and 197 Nm at the same rpm as above. In terms of performance, the manual of 1.8 has a top speed of 202 kph and a 0-100 kph sprint time of 10.0 seconds, while the CVT 1.8 is of 191 kilometers per hour and 11.4 seconds . As for the premium of 2.0, gets to 198 kilometers per hour and the century of speed in 10.5 seconds. As for the weight curve, the manual roller of 1,300 kg, while the CVT 1.8 and 2.0 are P 1325 kg and 1,335 kg respectively.
