BMW Gran Coupe Concept













This week's Beijing Auto Show has brought lots of surprises to the automotive world. Well this time, BMW is the one that has surprised us all; then have revealed the new Gran Coupe Concept.

The car is based on the previous BMW CS Concept and the 6 Series, even though the car may be seeing production in one or two years with '8 Series' on the hood. The car will join the Aston Martin Rapide-Porsche Panamera rivalry, also playing against the Mercedes-Benz CLS and the Audi A7.

The car is only 1400mm high. That's why BMW says the car has "striking dynamic proportions", "sporty, flat silhouette" and "sculptural shaping" that fuse "the exclusivity of a Gran Turismo with the fascination of a high-performance sports car".

Porsche Reveals Panamera V6 and 4 in Beijing













This week at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show, Porsche revealed the V6 and 4 Panamera. It is available with either rear wheel (V6) or all wheel drive (4). The V6 RWD will start pricing at $74,400 and the 4 AWD at $78,900. Both cars are equipped with the company's PDK Porsche Gearbox System: Doppelkupplungsgetriebe and Auto Start Stop. It also features a 3.6liter V6 engine producing both 300 horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque. In all, the engine weighs 30kg less than the 4S.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China




Today at the 2010 Beijing Motor Show, Lamborghini revealed a special edition LP670-4 SV, especially for China. Bentley has done the same thing, producing two exclusive Continentals. Anyway, the Lambo has a limited production of one TEN (!!!!) cars. And, every car has a numeration badge that has the owners name on it. Talking about a customized Lamborghini...

The carbon fiber body makes the car very light, helping the car accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The car also has a top speed of 342km/h. In all, the car weighs only 100 kilograms, which is lighter than the LP 640. Finally, the car features a 6.5 liter V12 that's horsepower is increased to 670hp.

Ferrari 599 GTO World Debut in Modena




Modena held the official debut of the fastest ever road production Ferrari; the 599 GTO. It was held at the Military Academy’s Ducal Palace, one of the most prestegious places in Monaco. A total of three GTOs came through the palace's gate while driven by Luca Badoer, Giancarlo Fisichella and Ferrari's long-time test driver Dario Benuzzi. All three of the cars are already sold, while the 599 will be showed again at the 2010 Beijing Internation Motor Show this month.
