Offered initially in two trim levels, the 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible arrives this spring at U.S. Chrysler dealers, priced from $27,195 for the 200 Convertible Touring model and $31,990 for the 200 Convertible Limited, together with a $750 shipping charge. The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible features new sheet metal, upgraded suspension, revised interior and the availability of the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 and six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible 3.6 makes 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. With the 62TE six-speed automatic, the 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible EPA rates the combination at 19 city and 29 highway mpg, marginally better than the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine (18/29). The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible widened the track by an inch, increased tire width from 215 to 225mm and lowered the car by up to half an inch, as completely revising the postponement geometry. The company said steering accuracy and feel also have been enhanced, while noise, vibration and harshness have been reduced. A third variant, the 200 Convertible S, will be priced when it arrives later in the model year.
