OK, so, we have lots of car news again so we have decided, like a week ago, to put all the car info into one post! Genius! OK, so to start of, yesterday, info was revealed about the seconds Gold Rush Rally, called this year the gR2KX. The route goes from Seattle over Portland, San Francisco and Los Angelos to end in Las Vegas! Awesome! It will last from June 8th to 13th 2010.
Talking about racing, source provides the info that two days ago, Luca Montezemolo, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, which are F1 drivers for Ferrari. Anyway, during Ferrari’s World Finals in Valencia, they managed to drive a Ferrari California, by mistake, into the gravel around the track! That's just great, and embarrassing! To make in even more embarrassing, it was during the parade lap! They could not get the California out of the gravel, so they replaced it by a blue Ferrari California. The 458 Italia was also showing off during this occasion.
Maserati revealed also two days ago that it gave a price to the GranCabrio revealed this September in Frankfurt. The price will be £95,630 when it goes on sale next April. In the UK, the convertible can be pre-ordered now. The newest member to the Italian automaker features the same engine as the GranTurismo S, revealed in Geneva. The GranCabrio features the longest wheelbase of any convertible on the market and has a top speed limited to 175 mph.
Porsche revealed lately that it will have a special exhibit in their new museum to pay tribute to the legendary 911 Turbo. They will also pay tribute to the 911 by a new book and a dedicated photo album.
MCCHIP tuner has tuned the new Panamera. This upgrade provides a horsepower upgrade of 50 hp and a torque upgrade of 75Nm. The maximum output is now 550hp and 775Nm. 9×22 and 10,5×22 wheels from Caragraphic are also available in the kit. Tires are Continental labeled 265/30 R22 and 305/25 R22. Alternatively available are Dunlop Sport tires in size 265/30 R22 and 295/25 R22. Top speed was increased by 8km/h, achieving 311km/h. The total kit costs €1499.
