http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-ferrari-599xx-live_opt.jpg

Rumours started near the end of 2009. Ferrari was going to release a 599 GTO; a car combining the 599 GTB Fiorano and the Ferrari GTO from back in time. Anyway, the rumours are getting bigger and bigger and finally we have came up with more information. Breaking news today explains us that the 599 GTO will be based on Ferrari's previously revealed 599XX, a 599 GTB Fiorano race car. This exiting news was leaked by Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa when he explained the following to EVO Magazine. He said that the car could pretty well be produced 50 times in the UK priced at £300,000. Otherwise, the whole world will receive 500 copies of the car, being priced at $480,077. The racer could very well deliver 700hp produced by it's V12 engine and 100 km/h will be reached in only 3.2 seconds. The top speed for it is 349 km/h (217 mph). The Ferrari will be revealed next March at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show when more specs will be released. Stay tuned until then!

Another Lambo concept: Countach Concept EV

So many cool Lamborghini concepts are popping up everywhere this past month! There is actually another one that we get to talk about right now. It is called the Countach Concept EV. The car was designed by Flavio Andriani as a tribute to Marcello Gandini. Rumours say that the car is completely electric. In fact, it could probably have three small electric engines (one for each front wheel!) coupled to a set off batteries. Has Andriani designed a future version of the best Lamborghini ever: the Countach?

Lambo LP570-4; not an SV!: a Superleggera

Hey, remember a few days ago when we mentioned the rumoured Lamborghini LP570-4 SV right? Well, the car was first spotted today and guess what. It will not even be an SV. It will be the LP570-4 Superleggera! An event in Hong Kong was organised for this matter, but we are not completely sure of specs. Rumours also say that the car will first be available in orange. One this that was confirmed though, was that the car would be fabricated of carbon fiber (not surprising!). We already have three wonderful photos of the car and specs we showed you in our last post about this Lambo, but more specs will be unveiled at the car's debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show.

The image “http://www.gtspirit.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Racing_Dynamics_BMW_R50S_480x2801.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Racing Dynamics has tuned the new 2010 BMW 5-Series. The cars are based on the 535i and the 550i. The Italian tuner have called the cars the R35 and the R50S. The R35 is based on the 535i. The improvements are an extra 110 horsepower (which is now 410hp) coming from it's V6 engine. 530Nm is also includes for torque and like the 535i, it reaches 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Then we have the R50S based on the 550i. You think an extra 110 horsepower for the R35 is a lot, well there is an added 213 horsepower on this one, bringing horsepower to a total of 620hp. Stunning! The regular 5-Series has a top speed of 288 km/h, but Racing Dynamics pushed the limit up to 340 km/h. A V8 engine is included.

Lamborghini Furia Concept

Here is the second concept of New Year's Day. This one is for the Lamborghini Gallardo replacement, which will most likely reach production in 2012. The concept was designed by a Canadian designer, like the Bugatti Renaissance we showed you a few minutes ago. The designer is Amadou Ndiaye. This is his first designed supercar, while the styling he put into the car is a bit better compared to the regular Gallardo styling.

Bugatti Renaissance

To start off well the good year, we have a cool concept here to show you. Tired of seeing the original Bugatti Veyron look, here is a new one redesigned by Canadian design student Marc Vicente. The car is called the Renaissance, which is French for re-birth. That makes sense! The images were produced by Softimage XSI and was rendered by 3ds Max/Mental Ray. Here is the next generation Veyron, or is it?!
